My name is Ricardo Szyfer!
I enjoy solving new challenges, learning new things, mostly in the areas of electronics, software development, and technology in general, travelling and meeting new interesting people, and last but definitely not least, spending time with friends and family (asados, chilling, and so on).
Other things I enjoy: entrepreneurship, movies, music, reading, skydiving.
Since August 2014: pushing forward Kinamic, a Software Development company where we mostly work with Microsoft Technologies.
From August 2013 to August 2014: Worked as a Senior .Net developer in Tata Consultancy Services.
From January 2012 to August 2013: Worked at Microsoft as a Technology Solutions Professional, specializing in Collaboration & Productivity (mainly Microsoft SharePoint Server, and Microsoft SQL Server). Most of the job was discovering business opportunities, leading tech talks and helping clients with these technologies.
From May 2011 up to June 2011 I took some time to work on an independent project with RFID technologies, the result: an integrated asset control system.
The time between June 2011 and August 2011 was AMAZING. I spent two GREAT months as a PresenTense Fellow in the 5th Global Summer Institute in Israel, learning a great deal about social entrepreneurship, and meeting very interesting people with huge projects to help the world become a better place. If you are looking to do some good, whether by donating, or just learning about social projects in which you want to volunteer, don’t forget to check them out.
I started out working as a junior .Net Developer at Domotec, a great Domotics company, which has built its own system for handling all things home automation. Worked with c#, c++, intrerfacing with Hardware, and working with cool gadgets such as ICs with .NET Micro Framework and stuff.
I have also been actively involved in community service and social work for a few years, now taking a break to focus on building a company.
I graduated as a Software Engineer back in 2013 from Universidad ORT Uruguay
Since 2014 I have been teaching Application Design in using Microsoft technologies (.Net, SQL Server)
From 2009 to 2012 I taught Data Structures and Algorithms using Visual C++.
